Product Overview of High-temperature White Ink Backlight Flexible PCB for VR Glasses

Product Definition

VR glasses, also known as VR head-mounted displays (HMD), are virtual reality head-mounted display devices. By isolating the user’s external visual and auditory perception, such devices immerse users in a virtual environment. The display principle relies on staggered display, frame switching and parallax fusion: independent images are presented on the left and right screens, and the human brain generates stereoscopic vision after capturing the binocular disparity information. A complete VR glasses system consists of a head-mounted display (HMD), output system, host system and tracking system.

The VR glasses backlight module is a PCBA unit manufactured through die bonding technology, where Mini LED wafers are mounted on high-temperature white ink backlight flexible PCBs. Adopting Mini LED backlight technology, the product supports local dimming and zoned light control. It features five core advantages: revolutionary breakthrough in screen brightness, ultra-high-precision zoned dimming for enhanced contrast, low power consumption and energy efficiency, eco-friendly performance with long service life, high-fidelity image presentation, eye-friendly display effect and stylish structural design, enabling diverse and high-quality application scenarios.

SUNSHINE GOOD Electronics provides customized ODM services for Mini LED backlight flexible PCB components, which can be tailored to the specific structural dimensions and functional requirements of VR glasses products.

Basic Production Process Flow

The Mini LED backlight flexible PCB for VR glasses adopts double-sided flexible substrate. The complete manufacturing procedures include drilling, electrolytic copper deposition, pattern transfer, circuit etching, photosensitive white ink coating, solder mask treatment, lamination, immersion gold surface finishing, silkscreen printing and functional testing. The core critical processes are the coating and window opening technology of high-flexibility photosensitive ink.

Product Advantages & Highlights

It supports high-density die bonding of Mini LED wafers on flexible PCBs. The customized photosensitive white ink delivers excellent bending resistance, while the matte white ink ensures high luminous emissivity of LED light sources, optimizing overall backlight display performance.

Product Applications

Applicable to external head-mounted VR glasses, integrated head-mounted VR glasses, mobile head-mounted VR glasses and other virtual reality display terminal devices.
